What is a LM300?

It's from the rocker series and like ben has already stated 5x14 steel snare drum, the LM 302 is the 6.5x14 model.

Ok Ok I did a little research, not worth very much, but its pretty!

All these threads about acrolites got me to wonderin'

I have 4 acrolites, one of em has a lot rougher texture on the outter finish. I am also wondering about it as well.

So what then would be the main differences between the LM300 and a Supraphonic? At first glance they look kinda similar to me (same dimensions, metal shell, 10 lugs etc...) but I'm still learning here. I'm inspired by the discussions lately about Supras and Acrolites but don't want to make the mistake of paying for a snare that I think is a Supra but isn't even close.

Are there other Ludwig snares that might closely resemble Supraphonics and fool unsuspecting buyers?

the main difference between the two you have mentioned are, the LM300 is STEEL and Is an Import made drum, and the Supraphonic is a ludalloy shell or aluminum shell and is an american made drum also big price difference in the two. if you are still doubting your ability to tell the difference just post a pic of the drum your considering someone here will help you.
