That's cool! Show the whole drum if you get a chance.

What's the badge name? Star had this color, I believe it was called Gold Pearl Sparkle or something like that. I restored a whole set like that last year.

It's referred to as "Butterscotch". It's an un-catologed finish and was probably only made for a very short time.

Most drums with thus finish were made in early 1942.

I have a four piece set, otherwise only about a couple more sets, in pieces, have been found. There are three snare drums known to exist.

It has been found only on one type of outfit, 14x26 bass drum, 12x14 and 7x11 toms with tacked on bottom heads, and 6.5x14 snare drums.

Everyone who sees my Butterscotch outfit thinks the color is beautiful!

That is beautiful, I can see why they would say that.

SWEET, and not talking about the butterscotch candy.

Love to see a picture of that set.

Well....like a lot of great masterpiece paintings, some things look better from a distance.

This drum has a split in the pigskin bottom, someone added Radio King leg brackets at some point, and the finish has shrunk, has a ripple or two, and a split.

But....This drum is 15" in diameter and 13" top to bottom (shell depth without the hoop).

Stamp inside is (I'm guessing) date and also what type finish. Hard to read in the lousy pic but it says

"Sin.T .010 pearl" and also 44 - 5 (May of 1944?)
