That's a bit of a bummer , I always hoped the old guys would fetch a better price if I put them up on ebay. Any advice on how to sell them for the most posible $$$$

Unfortunatly, the single headed drums don't bring a whole lot on ebay right now; Slingerland (and vintage drum collectors) look for sets in sizes 20 (or 18), 12, 14 or 22,13,16 first and other combinations less often.

If you're going to "ebay" them, try puting them up with a low opening bid and a reserve near what you want to get for them. If the bids or offers don't come close, you may try listing each drum individually...you may sell the bass and floor tom for a couple hundred and be stuck with the two small toms.

Or, you could keep them...

Looking at the pics again, I think you might get a bit more than my original estimate...I just realized you had the double headed bass drum and the snare drum...let's see...

COB 5 x 14 snare $150

14 x 20 WMP bass $175

16 x 14 FT with crack in pearl, but all three leg mounts in good shape $170

9 x 10" tom...someone may want this to convert to a two headed tom... $125

8 x 12" $80

Double tom mount $40

Total if sold as individuals $740. Make them clean and take lots of photos.

Try to get $700 for the whole set...if no luck, break them up.
