In 1975 I ordered a custom Slingerland kit in natural maple finish.

'Bonham sizes' 26, 14, 16 & 18 with a 6.5" Krupa cob snare. Waited 11

months to get them! In around 1980 I sold them due to peer group

pressure from the band I was in.("They don't look right for the type of music

wer'e playing man" etc) Wish I hadda sold that crappy band instead!DOH

My first kit (A blue sparkle US Mercury) I had added a second kick and another tom. Both '57 Ludwigs in blue sparkle. I traded them all off for other MIJ's to have a bigger set..... DOHDOHDOHDOHDOH

I wish I still had the Wigs....

I had a Premier snare way back when. It was a deep model. It was basically a brass snare with wood on the inside. That was a cool snare that I wouldn't mind having back. I loved the brass tone mixed with that wood inner. Very unique sound quality.

My Dad's kit... he sold them when he left for WWII.. I sure wish he would have just stashed them in the attic at grandma's for me to discover.
