Mikey, how is allen schellenbacher doing i haven't heard anything???
what do you make of this?
Hi, I know,But we see alot of this going on.On c/l and even ebay and if people dont know and are looking at a drum with O.C.D.P in the ad,they may think its one we made..Just look at D.W's OPDP logos on the front bass drum heads...Funny thing the logo looks just like the one we have in shape .We have been useing it from day one,and they even went as far to almost copy the letters we used..again people who dont know may think that OPDP is O.C.D.P....mikey
Now, I have to ask Mikey, Why in the world don't you sue the a--holes for trademark infringement? It is clearly deceptive in design and execuition, so why not slam them with a cease and desist order?

I always wondered about that. I was faked out by that resemblance, many times.

Not to insult or start a ridiculous tangential thread about who did what when, but.......Orange County was not the first to vent drums in that manner. I've owned and played several drums through the years with large circles cut out. One was done to allow a very unique mic placement. Don't misunderstand, I respect the drums and the workmanship. But, a legal move was mentioned and I was commenting to that. Nothing more.
The legal aspect I was referring to is the actual trademark styling of the logo and lettering on the bass head. I don't think the large vents would be enforcible unless it is patented, which I would assume it is not.
