This sounds fun....

This is a 70's Ludwig Supersensitive snare I picked up off Craigslist last week. It was in New Hampshire. (I am in California) It was referred to me by a fellow I had traded, and sold some drum wrap to who lives near the city in NH that the snare was in. The snare cost $160...but I ended up not even having to pay.

The fellow who picked this up for me, needed 3 some of the vintage gold sparkle I am selling.....so....the out of pocket cost for me on this deal, was just the $15 it cost to ship him the wrap.

The snare is in very nice shape with a few pits. I stripped it completely down, and cleaned and polished each piece. All is original except the batter head.

I love Craigslist!

Ok....its a Rogers Holiday...beautiful and complete....guy had it in his basement. He is cleaning out his basement....sells it to me for $200. He throws in some tarnished old cymbals (ziljdian) for an extra $25 . He calls them " junky old metal things."

Yes...than I wake up. It was just a dream.

I'll jump in,

Picked up this "67 Ludwig Clubdate, 20x14. All intact save for the cymbal arm and the mount. Was drilled for some "70's bass drum spur mounts, which I will probably put in, why not, the holes are there.

$20.

Thanks to Lucky for the cymbal arm & mount.
