what color is close to a vintage color

i am going to re-wrap a Slingerland 50's Kit, i recently bought. I have posted pics on this kit a while back you can find it, "green satan" yup, i miss spelled it. Anyways, i want to re-wrap this kit because the wrap is all banged up and, just looks like trash. I was useing the resources on the forum to see what types of wraps were available from 55 to 60. After that i surfed the net for a while to try and find a wrap that was identical to one from that time period. There's not much out there that i could find.

does anyone have any suggestions on what color i should use?

i am thinking of going with Jammin Sams deep green glass glitter.

if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

You could go so many ways with that. WMP is a perennial favourite, but green glass sparkle is a good choice. There is a guide on this site for the different colours that Slingerland used during that time period. I think a green sparkle was used during the time frame in question.

Edit- I don't know how correct green glass sparkle would look. But if it were me, I would be asking for samples of both the sparkle and the glass. Buy a larger scrap of it, as it's tough to judge by a 1" square sample.

Green glass glitter Oh My pretty, also WMP the oldstyle, and I am very partial to Blue Glass, silver , glass glitters, Silver goes on any stage..

I agree, i really just want to find a color that looks very close to original. I have seen some BDP and WMP that are not at all close to the original style. I really think i am going to ask for some samples.

if i can find a WMP that is close to the old style, i think i will jump on it. Right now i am leaning twards the Jammen Sams green glass.
