I have two sets that are my " go to " sets. Depends on the situation at hand but It's either my Zildjian A 14" New Beats. Nice crisp sound, perfect when played open or closed. The other set is my '50s / '60s Zildjian A's. Not 100% on the series ( Possibly Light hats from what Zildjian said ) but they have the perfect warm / washy open tone. Great for my thrash band, but also for Jazz and lighter styles. I've had other hats through the years, but these two always stayed.

I love what Craig and also Matt Bettis do. Would love to own some of their work some day.

My holy grail hats appeared to me in dreams for a couple of weeks before showing up across the street at a vintage lighting fixture shop, not even kidding! Very thin old Zildjians, $30.00 for the pair.

Modern set of 14" New Beats for basically everything then.........ahem.......... a 1920's Turk K 15" Top (Poss a crash cym originally) partnered with a cheap 60's 15" Super Zyn bottom hat. Those pair are just sublime for jazz and intimate type music. Dark tissue paper is an understatement.
