It all depends on what sounds and projects you're after. For me the Duco's would be a back up kit, one I'd want to use for dirtier grooves. Then between the other Luddies and the Rogers--and I'm trying to think like a drumming guitar player, which hurts my head -- I would take the Rogers. For somebody who uses a guitar tuner, Rogers' overall tunability and lack of dead spots gives you a familiar dependability. Great tone across a nice spectrum. And they can get as dirty and funky as any of the candidates. Ludwig has lots of loveable character, but Rogers does scorch them on the points above. Mostly a Ludwig and Gretsch guy, but with this fine roster, I would go Rogers.
