Saw this listed as a "19" Zildjian ride" for a very good price, so, although I'm on a lookout for a larger ride, I pulled the trigger, thinking that I can always re-sell it.
What intriguied me also was that the stamp looks vintage to me (no serial number) although the cymbal is shiny.
Three dots in the "U-like" Arabic letter would indicate 1960s, is that right?
Hopefully I will receive the cymbal in a few days.
Hi - I have a 60's 19" which weighs in around the 1800/1850 mark. Very nice sweet ping with nice variance between edge and bell. A nice solid bell and it is crashable for sure. It also has some nice edge wobble. I rate this cymbal for lower volume playing.
That is a late 60s early 70s cymbal based on the hammering and lathing style visible on the top and bottom. Your trademark stamp photo is too small for me to say whether the stamp is the 60s short or 60s tall version (not that it matters).

Just for future readers the idea of three dots = 1960s is a bit oversimplified.

Here are the currently known trademark stamps with "the three dots" (clink each link to see more detail on each of these stamps including a photo)
two 1960s Stamps (which may have still been in use in the early 1970s)
In the same way, not having the three dots does not mean 1970s, and not having the three dots does not mean 1950s. It is a little more complex than presence/absence of the three dots to tell what is 40s vs 50s vs 60s vs 70s vs 80s and so on. But it isn't that hard once you know what to look for.
