WFL Snare Drum Question

Loading...

I need some information on this WFL snare. Mainly it's value. It sure looks like it's been re-wrapped, the seller doesn't know if it has. He's asking $750, but said I could make an offer, thanks.

I would say a rewrap, unless that grommet was painted!

$750 way too high, I was checking out some WFL snares on eBay today and they are going for around$350-$500

Believe or not, it's highly likely that the grommet is original. WFL had some oversized grommets that were silver colored in finish during this period.

I did some research and I believe it's the Dixieland model. They offered a single and dual strainer. This is the single version and as you can see in this picture I found, the grommet is the same, but the wmp wrap looks different.

The seller agreed on $275, but I have yet to hear back from him as to when I can buy the drum.

Well, the seller seems to be a bit of a flake. After several attempts at trying to set up a time to see the snare, he finally responds with, I'll meet you half way on the price and sell for $450. I said, you told me $275 and no response. I tried contacting him several more times with no response. So, at this point, I have no idea what's going on.

It`s odd that he would accept an offer 1/3 his asking price...

Well, he lowered the price only after I did some research and found all original ones selling for around $500 and I believe he suspects it may be a re-wrap too.
