So...it took me about a year and 1/2, but I picked up these 1950's WFL orphans one by one and then made a nice matching kit out of it. Sizes are 13x9, 16x16 and 26x14. I converted the bass drum from single tension to double and converted the center lug rack tom to double also. I then wrapped the shells in mahogany veneer, stained them, sealed them and blended the edges. It was a lot of work, but so much fun and well worth the time and effort. Check out these pics (even though 2 of them uploaded sideways). It keeps doing that me for some reason.
Oh...and thanks to Jeff ,aka jccabinets, for valuable info on the veneer and the whole process! He's done some mighty fine work with his projects. His work was my inspiration.
