They were pretty dirty but without a lot of pitting. They had spent a lot of time in cases but were put away dirty many years ago. The wrap was pretty dull and minor scuffing here and there. Everything tumbled, polished and buffed up very well. Pretty interesting seeing the Gretsch shells and hardware combined with the Ludwig stuff. They sound just awesome.
