i'm trying to figure out how much these Vox / Trixon drums (with silver "croco" finish) are worth. Does anyone have any idea how to figure this out?
vox / trixon - how much are they worth?
Silver Croco is one of the fancier wraps that Trixon used and drums in this wrap always command interest. In order of consumer preference 4 out of 10 Trixon consumer's choose Blue Croco , 3 out of 10 Trixon consumer's choose Gold Croco , 2 out of 10 choose Red Croco and only 1 out of 10 choose Silver Croco------and 10 out of 10 choose Green Croco; if it ever shows up. Assuming the wrap is as good on the dark side of the moon,as on the camera side and the shells are fine, I would like to see you get around 900. There are a couple of things that might affect this. It looks like about 6 of the bass T-rods are the recent Vox Tees and the rest are Trixon tees. It also looks like one of the rack tom hoops is a Ludwig hoop and unoriginal, the cymbal arm socket is missing it's ball and the Vox sticker badges may have been removed on all drums ? Vox branding is a little less desirable than Trixon but the drums are the same.
that is incredibly helpful info. thank you so much!!!
do you recommend any particular method for selling these or just good ole eBay?
Don't think you would get that on ebay but try it. Shipping always impacts ebay sales of large objects in a negative way. Someone out there wants those to build a Silver Croco kit around a snare. Those detracting items I mentioned are seriously going to nibble at your ultimate price, though. If there is a decent music shop or better still drumshop nearby you could try consignment through them. They only take 15%.
In the third pic., What`s the hole in the lug for ?

It's for free . Comes with the drum.
So why charge for that giant hole in the tom mount plate ?

I don't know? Once I paid more for a drum that had 3 of those but once I paid less for a drum that had 3 of them without the chrome thingies around them. Maybe it's the chrome thingies that are worth all the money?
