I just picked up a Ludwig B/O pointy badge 5x14 Vistalite with a Super Sensitive strainer. It is clear and in good shape. It has 10 lugs and it looks like the original hoops were swapped out for die-cast hoops. I am just curious if these are rare? I have never seen one before. Here are some pictures, As you can see I haven't had a chance to clean it yet.

Yes the super sensitives are much rarer than the p-85 equipped models are! please post the pics when you get a chance! to bad about the hoops, I hate Die Cast hoops, Just never have cared for them!
Can any experts out there tell me if this strainer is missing parts. I have worked many P-85's but never a super sensitive strainer like this. Anyone have any tips how to clean it?? Should I remove it or will that open up a can or worms I am not ready for???Cool Dude

When I first got my Vista Super, I was confounded by the strainer system too. I eventually replaced the snare assembly with a one piece Puresounds set but I still am having trouble getting a nice crisp sound. It's on my list of things to work on and you know how those lists are.
Edit: this is precleaning, right after I got it. It turned out pretty nice looking. It's so dark you can't tell it's a Vista.
Edit 2: I was able to find the snare guards on Ebay. They're on the list also....
