Vistalite Marcher

Loading...

Greetings,

I have never seen one before. This is for sale locally (not mine). $350 is probably a little steep, but it certainly is on the rarer side. I'm not a Vistalite fan, but in all the Vistas I've seen over the years, I've never seen a marcher before.

Enjoy!

You can put on die cast rims and those horrible woven drum heads so that you can make gnat f*a*r*t sounds from an "invisible" drum.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Based on the blue/olive badge, it was not used to play the marching version of the Rubber Soul song, "I'm Looking Through You".

Cool drum even so. Well worth $350 in my view.

I suppose for some, only a vintage BDP marcher will do the trick. :)

There was a family owned music store that used to be not far from me years ago. They had all kinds of hidden treasures in there and typically most of it was not for sale. They had THREE amber vistalite marching snares up on a shelf. I tried to buy one once and was told they were not for sale. This was a place that had a Ludwig parts cabinet (probably was in there when new), a radio king set from the 40's and a slingerland cocktail drum from the 50's. They only stuff they sold was mostly low end junk drums. I got to know them well enough over the years and a found 4 1960's Ludwig drummer magazines that they sold to me for around 10 bucks. I also found some 60's NOS heads from Ludwig. I miss that place.
