Hi Folks,

I just have a quick and (hopefully) simple question today.

I have someone interested in a pair that I'm selling which measure approximately 3-7/8" from under the head. They're looking to use them on a 70s-Era Vistalite kick drum and are asking if my rods will work. Truth be told, I don't know the answer to the question one way or another. And, that's led me here to VDF in search of help.

So, can someone please tell me the standard/minimum length needed for BD tension rods on Ludwig Vistalites?

As long as the lugs are classic large lugs, most vintage and modern classic T-rods will fit.

I ordered a set of vintage T-rods from a used drum shop for a vintage Rocker II bass drum with large classic lugs and they fit perfectly..
