I am looking for a wrap for a ludwig snare I want to redo. I was looking for drum wrap samples etc... I got on drummaker.com then to jammin sams. After a minute I got this virus telling me my computer was infetced. It kept popping up and I couldnt close it. Long story short I restarted my computer in safe mode and did a system restore and got rid of it and had to reinstall my microsoft security essentials virus protection. I had no idea where it came from at that time. This morning I continued me research for my drum warp. I went to jammin sams again and the same thing happened. I believe Jammin Sam's website is severly infected with a virus. Its called Smart Fortress 2012. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Dang that stinks! Hopefully they are aware and take care of the situation. Who'd want to infect a site that sells drum wraps and parts? Sad.

Just went to Sam's website and did not get any Virus Messages. Either they fixed the issue or the virus was coming from some other site.

Ok I went to Jammin Sams website again this morning. Nothing happened untill I clicked on wraps or finishes then Psychedelic. Then the trojan started tellin me my computer is infected. All the sudden I have this Smart Fortress 2012 on my computer. I had to do a system restore again. Im serious Y'all!!!

Sam needs to be notified, so he can let his wedmaster know. I've got a current number on a recent invoice somewhere (my "shoebox" accounting system isn't always kept up-to-date!).
This stuff happens more than most realize; it happens to us here at the school probably 4-5 times a month (we've got 4 buildings and around 700 computers). A teacher (or other staff member) will visit a completely legitimate resource site (and almost ALWAYS one they visit regularly) to download an image or something else they need for their classroom -- and bam! I get a phone call! Not 100% sure where this stuff comes from, but suspect most likely a hacker out-of-country.
Usually it's malware and not a virus, but I have seen both. Some of it's much worse than a trojan, too, and takes much more drastic measures than a sytem restore... so... I guess you could consider yourself lucky?

I just went there and it's OK on this end.
Poppy, the problem might be on your computer.
I've had good success with Malewarebytes Anti-Maleware tool to remove traffic hijackers and some other fairly nasty junk.
Works on Spyware and Viruses
You can get a free version or "Pro" version for $25

Just a point that you might have missed ...
Doing a system restore does not remove many of the interlopers that find their way onto your computer. Fact is, they reside there all nice and cozy and reappear over and over again with little to no warning. It may or may not have anything to do with a particular site you are visiting.
Just a thought.
