Vintage Zim-Gar Kit

Loading...

Hi.

I rescued this kit from a dumpster. The sizes are 20" kick, 16" floor, 13.5 rack. Nothing else included. It's a really nice looking grey abalone looking finish. These guys are missing parts (legs, lugs)... The kick is in pretty nice shape and sounds pretty good though. Here's a link to the craigslist ad I've placed... it has pics.

I don't know much about these drums but will happily anser any questions you have and will provide additional pics if you need them.

Thanks,

Martin

Hey Mark, to be completely honest, missing parts, no other hardware, 150 is a bit ambitious. These drums, in this state, will usually fetch between 70-100 on a good day. I am one of the collectors of MIJ drums, and they just don't have a huge market or following. And missing parts, someone would be in a weeks or months long search for the correct parts to get it up and running in playable condition. Or they could simply go to GC and replace anything with generic parts, but that would then render them as non-original and the value would be virtually nothing to MIJ enthusiats.

Good luck, and nice find!

The color is called Black Diamond Pearl.
