SOLDSOLDSOLD. This item is sold. Thank you.
Hello,
This is the third in a series of posts for vintage cymbals for sale.
This is a 17" cymbal with four holes for rivets. The holes are more or less evenly spaced around the perimeter of the cymbal, about two inches from the edge. The holes are not exactly the same distance from one another, and not exactly the same distance from the edge, indicating (to me) a non-factory drilling. There are no rivets. The cymbal weighs 1361 grams. There is slight key holing and two dents in the edge of the cymbal, which I did my best to photograph and highlight. Additionally, you can feel several rough areas around the perimeter of the cymbal, even though you cannot actually see any more. There are no cracks in the cymbal.
The stamp is HUGE. According to Vintage Cymbal Gurus Zenstat and MLayton, the stamp is a Hartrick Type 2 large stamp, probably from the mid-50's.
Terms: payment by PayPal once an agreement is reached. Upon receipt of the funds, I will ship it to you in a brand new shipping box, carefully and professionally wrapped in bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Once I have determined the shipping cost to you, I will ask for half of that payment from you (paid again on PayPal). I will pay the other half.
I believe that these cymbals belong in the hands (and under the sticks) of someone who truly wants them. I am offering them to VDF Members at prices that I believe to be very fair. If I am way off, just tell me so.
I am asking $110/best offer for this cymbal. Please respond via Private Message for offers. Thanks. Josh
