So, the more i look into my newly acquired vintage Yamaha Tour series drums, the more i'm thinking i may have something out of the ordinary..
I don't say rare because i don't think it qualifies as such.
Attempting to date my drums with Yamaha Drums serial guide, i was only able to date my floor tom, 13" tom and bass drum, but my 12" tom has only 2 letters that say "K M", the rest of the drums indicate a regular serial number indicative to that era..
For example--
12" tom-- KM = ???
13" tom-- LH-3137 = 1985/Jan
16" Floor tom--LH-3007 = 1985/Jan ?
22" bass drum-- KZ-1693 = 1984/Dec. ?
Call me dyslexic , but i'm having a bit of a hard time with their dating system..LoLoLoLo
If anyone can tell me if i've made an error in dating, or/and what year my drums were made, and if i have something out of the ordinary in regards to my !2 " tom serial number, i'd appreciate it !
cheers,
Rob
