Vintage Yamaha 18" bass drum

Hi!

I have an old Yamaha kit from late 60's in Black Oyster finish. It's 20", 12", 14" and a matching 5,5" snare. They are in great shape with the original heads still intact on both sides of all the drums. Now to my question:

When was the first 18" Yamaha bass drum made? Is it possible that there are an 18" bass drum made, in the model and finish that I have, or is it just wishful thinking? Hope some Yamaha expert is out there...

Welcome to the forum.

I've never seen a version with 18" BD from this vintage. Below is a catalog scan that has a D-18 model listed but does not have sizes. The D-20 has a 20" BD so maybe...
