I guess this shows why I dislike nickel so much...in this state,at least......Think of how many HOURS and HOURS it would take to hand polish each and every part on this to bring it back?I did a RK 26,13,16 and snare in nickel around 3-1/2 years ago...and that was around the hardest restore I have even done!No fun at all.....

Its funny you mention this. I just did this 1920s Leedy snare drum a couple of days ago.. Took me 2 hours. Cape Cod Polishing cloths.. they will change your life.

I've got a sneaky suspicion that this WFL kit is the one sitting in my house now! The buddy I bought it from, got it from someone in Baton Rouge, LA sometime last summer. It now has a functional chrome rail mount and the bass and rack tom have been cleaned and polished. I'll be finishing the floor tom in the next week or so as I couldn't resist playing it after I put the bass drum back together.

I was able to match some of the markings on the floor tom in these photos to the drum itself Guitar Dude Man

Also, the cymbal mounts on the bass drum are exactly the same; one complete and the other missing the wingnut and clamp. ...and the guy I bought it from still has that front Remo head at his house.. he was awesome enough to give me a nice calfskin head from the drum!

Now.. I need to go see that movie mentioned in the original post to see if I can see it on set!
