Hi, I'm new here, but not new to playing and collecting drums, that all started in the 60"s..

Anyway I just acquired a Tama snare that is of block stave construction, and is 4X14 and the walls of the drum are an nich thick, perhaps more ie even thicker !! all the badge says is TAMA SNARE DRUM SERIALNo. 027559.

I am told that it is called the CASKWOOD STAVE SNARE, and that the model # is AW744.

I have never seen one of these before.

Can anyone give me any info as to the date of manufacture, the cost new, and the current value & so on.

I am NOT at all interesetd in selling, I would just like to know more.
