Vintage Tama Granstar?

Loading...

Hi everybody, an ageing prog rock drummer here! I have just found an old Tama snare on www.drumbreakers.com

Is it a Granstar, or what is it, and is it worth that kind of money. There is a Krut special ride there too. I wondered if that was an old but cheapie?

Any help/advice welcomed , thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the group! I'm not all that familiar with that snare, but the Del Rey tom might be nice, depending on how much 49 pounds is... Cruddy drums, great badge.

Thank you very much for that! £49 is probably a hundred dollars (ish). Thank you for the welcome. Its a truly great site!!!

It is a Granstar drum and those steel shell Tama snare sound incredible. I have two Imperialstar steel shelled (heavy) 6.5 snares with DC hoops and they are my favorite rock snares by a mile.

The bowtie lugs are cool too. I`d be all over it.
