Many thanks, lots of people don't realize that re-wrapping most drums is almost as easy as wrapping a nice present. Just takes a little longer!

I just got this kit given to me today for free. Looks like its another original. Its in great nick too. Original parts and finish. Needs a good clean up. Any idea how much it would be worth?

In Japan those beauties are worth 50,000yen- about 560$ all cleaned up shiny and neat. If you sell them dirty then in Japan maybe you get 35,000yen (400$)

In the USA then I think about 350-400$max is what you`ll get. They are just wonderful- do us a favor and keep the snare with the set! Do not sell them out as pieces. I have so many kits right now I can`t fit any more- otherwise I would be all over this- so sweet. what do you know about it`s history?

Amazing...and free. Damn! What did I do wrong? Anyway, O'bop is about right on. Here, because they are MIJ Star drums, and the fact this is a very rare, and highly sought after wrap, 400 should be about right, if they are complete and no fade. Let's see the interiors. This is a nice 20-12-14 w/matching snare. This is a one in a million find. I would be willing to trade you a completely restored, WMP 22-16-13 w/matching snare if you would like to consider a bigger set. That is if you are into rock sized over jazz sized drums. Did you get any stands and/or cymbals?

I do excellent work and my kits are without equal in the MIJ world.

I know absolutely nothing about its history. My dad is a teacher and was given it by a parent of one of his students as a kit for the school. They decided they didnt want it but he said i might be interested in it. I have no other vintage kits. I actually build kits and more interested in that sort of thing. The finish is in absolutely perfect order. The hardware/chrome needs to be cleaned up and age has got to it somewhat. There is a snare stand with the set and and old olympic pedal. It has all original star skins on it bar on the underside of the mounted tom where the skin has been changed. I reckon i am going to clean it up and then sell it on. Cant believe this find.
