I know this has been discussed, in fact I think I started a thread about it myself. I have a WFL Buddy Rich Super Classic Snare. I was told that the Puresound 3-screw WFL vintage snare strand, is what I needed to make this thing go. I ordered it, and it is not right. It is too long by probably 3/4" of an inch, and the ends do not match up whatsoever.
My snare strand has 3 screw holes in it, with only one screw in the center hole attaching it to the strainer. The other end looks like modern snare strands with a plastic (or something) strip doubled over after being looped through the slot on the snare strand. It then leads up the side of the snare to be tightened down by two metal pieces and two screws (like I said, just like any other modern snare).
Anyone have any clue what I need to get to make this thing go?! Also, if anyone is interested, I have a Puresound Snare strand for sale!!!
Many thanks to anyone who can help.
