Thanks again everyone for comments on this kit I thought I sent a thank you but its not showing! Does anyone know if the hardware shown is Slingerland? I realize that the tom mount is new and spurs and ft legs are Ludwig. But do the stands and hi-hat look to be original Slingerland to the set? Thanks again for all the info and comments!!!!

I hope this doesn't look like I'm trying to hijack this tread but I think it's relevant. [Attachment: 111166]. I'm trying to find a more accurate date for my snare. SN 5603. I'm wondering if this would be 63 or 62? I've looked at the slingerland serial number guide but still not 100% sure.
Very tough call Olddrumgeek. I've recorded serial 350x with a date stamp of Nov '62. There is no way to know if it was early in the month or late. Another interesting tidbit per DrCJW is that the date stamp went on when the shell was formed. It was wrapped/lacquered, drilled and assembled later. Late November/December shells can actually be the next years model. Either way a late '62 and early '63 snare should be the same.

The stands and hi-hat shown are not era correct Slingerland. Your kit should have flat based stands.
Thank you that's good to know and actually I may have the original stands in a pile of hardware although some are not in good condition the hi-hat stand is here but finish is less than fair! Thanks again everyone has been very helpful!
