Vintage Slingerland

Hello,

I have this vintage Slingerland kit that was given to me by a friend who's an HVAC guy (also guitarist friend) and said the person he was doing service for was throwing the kit out. He then had them stored in his garage for years and ended up giving them to me. The kit looks pretty well cannibalized. It has the copper badges from the late 50's. The snare's throw off was poorly replaced and has a Rogers bass mounted cymbal holder. The tom has a missing piece of hardware to connect to the bass so I'm using a Ludwig snare stand. It's a black diamond pearl wrap thats very faded out and looks green now. Bass is 22", 13" tom and 14" snare. Using an Acrolite '70's snare, bottom out for a tom. There's also copper pipe I'm using on the hat and cymbal stand! Here's pics.

Cannabalized indeed. Could still clean up nicely.

Are you keeping them to use?

Yes, I use these to lug around for practices.
