Hell yeah, that guy is nuts - it's a fricken recover too. If your'e gonna ask that kind of money for a re-finnished kit at least provide the heads for the snare drum and top rim for the floor tom!
Way hi. dunno about over there, but in the US, vintage prices are way down. I bought this set two weeks ago for $500.00 USD. It did get a little work, but nothing awful. Still had the original heads. That's way, way over priced for sure. I wouldn't pay half that much for a re-wrapped Ludwig kit. Bit's missing and looks like the bearing edges have been messed with too.
