Vintage Rogers wrap question

My go to pedal since 1961 has been a Rogers Swivomatic pedal. I like to have pedals for my vintage drum sets that are "stable mates" of the drum sets. I have Rogers, Leedy, Slingerland, and Ludwig vintage drum sets with most of the hardware that each company offered for these drums back when they were new. My Walberg and Auge drums are made up of parts from Rogers, Gretsch, Ludwig, and their own shop. So, I use several different pedals with them.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

It's always interesting to come back to a thread and see just how far it's drifted! I used the same 2 Pearl pedals for 20 years. When one broke, I took it into the drum store - and they laughed! After an hour of playing all their pedals, I walked out with 2 brand new Pearls. I have a collection of the other pedals I've played - Speed King; Asba; Swivomatic; Ghost etc. They line the windows of my drum room. Every now and then I try one out - and put it right back on the shelf. Old drums - I love them. Old hardware - looks good on a wall.

Sorry about the thread drift troutstudio _ my'bad _ but I really couldn't resist commenting after seeing L-bdp's _ Black Diamond Pearl kit.

Back on topic _ I looked at the Jammin Sam's links you provided and the VDF link that idrum4fun has posted _ and am now thoroughly confused.

you wrote:

I just called Sam of Jammin' Sam. ... he did tell me something interesting to help. He said that if you look at the wrap and all the shiny pieces are even in shape and size; it's sparkle. If the pieces are more or less random in size; it's most likely glitter.

So using his terms ... the foil confetti based are Sparkles _ and the glass based are Glitters ??? Or do I have that backwards ?

The density of the particulate in the images at the VDF link is a bit confusing.

Are these samples taken from relatively the same distance and focal length? With no magnification going on?

To reiterate if I am understanding this correctlly.

Glass finishes from Rogers and Slingerland are more dense and tightly packed, more finely textured, and POP a little brighter _ regardless what they are / were called.

Whereas Ludwig's classic "Sparkle" finishes are / were a less densely packed metalic or foil confetti topped with a tinted colored overlay?
