What would a drummer do with cuff links? Maybe as a sizzler substitute...

the first and second herman orchestras played some of the best big band music ever, and --amongst others-- i have tough with charlie ventura and the great bill harris on trombone, where he doesnt quite manage to ride the cymbal but drives the quartet. it's a while since ive listened to that album, but ive been a longterm fan of dave tough's drumming. please can you tell us/ me about this cymbal? it must be for real. something of his spirit in that for sure. is it an old A or a zilco ? ( incidentally i have an old zilco splash/choke cymbal with geo wettling's signature under the bell ..))...cheers.best

I wish I could actually give you something authoritative about this great unknown, but I can't. I can only surmise that it was made likely in the 1920's by an obscure Turkish manufacturer that has long since gone extinct. They're were many of these in times past. Zildjivram is an example of one such manufacturer.

I actually don't own the one I posted. As for yours, would you say its likely made of B-20?
