Vintage Premier

From Fayray

The earliest 54 models seem to have had the tom mount on the BD fixed further around the shell rather than on top so I'd say this one is very early 60s

Mine is right on top, next to and slightly offset from the badge.

Thanks for all your input folks. I guess my main concern is the price. Is this figure of $1900 with hardware or $1800 without in-line with what one would expect to pay for this model and age.He says its a 13/16/22 combo along with the snare, but i think it must be a 12" rack tom. Don't think Premier made a 13" at that time.Cheers, Phil

They didn't....not until 1972~Amazing...

I have a circa 1963 Premier 20,12,14 and matching 4 by 14 Royal Ace snare in the BEAUTIFUL Blue Pearl finish I can sell for WAY less then the $$$ that guy is asking...

All drums/hardware cleaned........with nice heads...

PM me if interested.....

May seem like a silly question, but is this a wrap or a laquered finish?

Oh, and he's also brought the price down to $1700 including hardware.

It's a wrap.

I'd say $1000 tops. I have had two Premier kits with this configuration. I sold both for $800 Cdn. within the last 3 years and they took a while to sell. One sold locally and the other was shipped to another part of Canada.

The tom holder was often fitted to the customers specification by the dealer - it was when I bought my drums in 1962 as we commonly bought drum sets piece by piece then. The disappearing tom holder came later after about 1962.
