Vintage Premier Piccolo Snare Identification

Loading...

Hi guys, I've had this snare for years but never really looked into details of what it was. Now I'm having to sell one of my kits due to a lack of space after moving house.

I've found an advert online that appears to be selling the same drum for £250, but I don't know if it's worth this. Could anyone clarify whether my drum and the advert are the same drum as the one that the advert describes (1980s limited edition 2024 snare)? And also what people reckon it is genuinely worth?

The advert is: https://www.gumtree.com/p/drums/premier-model-2024-limited-edition-alloy-snare-drum-14-x-4-gold-lacquer-80s-leicester/1208747069

Thanks!

Sorry, its not letting me upload the pictures of my snare. But it is the same as the one on the advert, just a different serial number

This is the only other one I can find on the net, which sold for the winning bid of £175. It's hard to give an honest value on Premier's on this side of the pond as they don't command what they are worth. Maybe a bit more up here in Canada, as I think they had better distribution here than in the US. Anyway, good luck on your sale! Someone will be lucky to by yours.

Premier Royal Ace--great drum, very responsive. Only problem with it is if you hit it too hard the snares disengage.

Thanks for the replies, I actually got it with my first ever kit a long time ago; a bog standard pearl export with a handful of cheap hardware, stands and cymbals. It cost about £150 overall! Looks like a good deal now :D
