When launched, the Royale power tom kits were listed as being made from 6mm 3-ply Luan with the centre core at a right angle for strength and off-set joints. I have had standard size Royale kits with thin support rings although they were marketed as NOT having support rings so knowing what Premier were like for going 'off-piste', it wouldn't be a surprise to know some 'non-spec' Royale APKs escaped the factory.

Hi mikeellis. Well, I think this type of things happened with many brands, not only on drum companies. Maybe this is a mix of various models due to transition from 70's models to 80's and the begining of power tom era. Just thinking... :)
