TempRo ! ;) Nothing real special - a 60's Pearl-made (luan shell thin ply w\ re-rings). Worth maybe $300-400usd if in good shape. With some bearing edge work they can sound pretty decent - lotsa vintage Mojo fer' sure - but it isn't a loud kit (nor can it ever really be made to be). But if you are a Jazz drummer and you want an old-school resonant sorta sound for small combo work, they suit rather nicely as Jazz kits

I personally never will pay more than 150-200 for ANY MIJ stencil kit, and that one is in less than perfect condition. 150 is all the money, the lugs are pitted badly, rust all over, you will have your work in this kit, after you learn how to restore, then learn how to tune a MIJ kit. And new heads, edge work....100USD is the most for this one. Sorry.

If this set were local to me, I would personally pay up to $250 USD, maybe a little more. I like that, even though it's in rough shape, it does look to be mostly original (though not 100% sure about tom mount,) So often these sets come without reso hoops, swapped out mounts, extra holes, etc. It looks like this set got played from the get go, and that is usually the sign of a good instrument. Also, I have found that the Pearl stencil stuff is just a bit better made than the Star stencil stuff. Dont get me wrong, I like them both, and the Star stuff can sound great as well, but I personally have been having better experiences with the Pearl drums. (I know some will disagree.)

And, for me, the wrap is most desirable. This is BDP and it looks like it's in good shape. My goal has been to someday find a matching 12/14/20 BDP MIJ set, but that goal has been expanded to include the 13 and 16 as well for other playing situations. I've been able to find WMP, plenty of blue and red sparkle, gold sparkle, orange, strata, sky blue pearl, but it seems like the BDP is very sought after and goes fast.

Jazzdrummer94, if this set is local to you, I would give it serious consideration. Please let us know what happens.

No telling what's under the rust. The seller states himself the wrap is the best thing about the whole set. Pass for me.

Well, we all have our preferences and tolerances for what we want and what we would take. Rust can be removed, pitting might be the major problem. I wonder if this set could be seen in person. The pics dont quite cover everything.

As I said, no telling what's under the rust..... pitting certainly, even missing chrome. My general feeling about gear in this condition is that the owner just didn't give a hoot about their instrument, and a close inspection will lead to some more disappointing factors coming to light. Frozen t-rods, stripped lugs, water damage, interior shell damage, etc, etc,... the list goes on. I agree with you cn679, that an in person look see would be wise before any money changes hands on this one.

Try this instead

Look again - the badges actually say "Tempo" and "Tempo Pro" - I guess they're Tempro knock-offs :)
