I are-ain't no expert, but from the VDF "Vintage Drum Identification - Snare Drums" from the drop down menu at the top of each page - I *think* it's round about 1955 like this WFL Buddy Rich Model (maybe)

Well...its a super classic model, sometimes referred to as a Buddy Rich snare, my guess going by the badge, would be between 1955-1958. I'm assuming that the ink stamp on the inside of the shell is not there?
I have a blue sparkle in that same style (about four years difference). It is considered the Buddy Rich model, but Buddy played WMP, so there are hairs to split. Those drums sound very nice. I still don't like that snare mechanism, though. Have you put it together and checked it out yet? That finish is stunning. No fade. Mine has no fade, also. I find that very odd considering the age, IMHO.
