I sometimes wonder what became of the black oyster pearl Ludwigs with Zildjian cymbals that we used at my high-school. Music program ended decades ago so not much hope of finding out...:)

Well I'm making progress. Got everything cleaned and had to just set up these tubs for the first time and play them. Kick drum is the best sounding one I own. The rack sounds good but I'm not used to tuning toms with that big huge bearing edge! Not as much resonance as modern toms. Still working on the snare but it sounds good. Any recommendations on heads. The front reso head came with kit. I'm getting one from Ludwig for front.
