Vintage ludwig drum set?

Loading...

i recently got a vintage 1969 ludwig drum set from my neighbor.

This set comes with a snare, bass drum, 1 tom, and 1 floor tom, also

the cymbal holder is on the bass drum. I really like the sound of the set but

I also want to expand it. Unfortunatley these sets are no longer in

production and i cannot find toms/basses in the same finish. Is there any

way i can get expansion to my drum set by contacting ludwig?

One way to do it is to luck out and find a drum in the same finish on eBay.

Another way is to get a drum, or a new shell and have it rewrapped in a matching pearl, if your drums are finished that way. That's the best way if you don't want to wait for an exact match on eBay, and that could be forever if it's a rare color.

Post some pics if you can.

Shouldn't this post be in vintage drums and not the media room??

Yes, but she's just arrived on the scene. Maybe we can get the Guru's to move it for her. That would be a nice thing to do. I am assuming she's a she. The name and the original post guided me to that conclusion...

Hey Marcy, are you a she?

...cause right about now, I'm going to be extremely embarrassed if you're not. Do me a fave...if you're not, just lie. I don't think I could take that kind of public humiliation. Thanks.

Can you post some pictures of the kit? That would really help us get a line on what you have and what you might need. Believe it or not, a bunch of us here have extra drums just laying around...hard to believe, huh...

Again, Welcome and as soon as we get the pics, we'll lend a hand.
