Vintage Ludwig Black Diamonds - need advice

According to the owner:

1967s in black diamond wrap "original wrap"

some pitting, nothing that can't shine up like new.

13inch rack

16 inch floor

22 inch kick drum

I asked about inside of (bass) shell pictured with stamp and the owner told me that is just glue from where original owner glued foam for a muffler.

What's a fair price?

This from my own personal observation is the least collected color. So the value to me is less then if it were WMP or another color.

You can search eBay for recent sales and that would give you a good idea for each drum.

I would say $100 - $150 for the small tom. $150 - $250 for the floor tom and $175 - $300 for the bass drum.

Thanks, why is BDP not a collector favorite - seems like a pretty cool color?

I can get all 3 for $550 so I think I will pull the trigger.

It just does not bring the same money. Take almost any finish and it will sell more then BDP. There are guys that love it and I have owned them in my collection.

It goes without saying that if I find a drum in BDP at a good price I would buy it.

Can you see the drums in person before the pulling of the trigger?

That is always best, and if those pics are as good as it gets, I would not buy them without seeing them first.

I'm one of those David is speaking of, BDP is one of my favorite colors, you need to take Inventory on what will be needed to complete the kit, back to as it was originally, the rail mount is missing some parts, some of the bass drum claws looked fairly tarnished, rusty etc,be super careful with the rim strips they get very brittle after all these years, and are next to impossible to find or to get the correct BDP pattern, does it have a bass drum cymbal mount on it and is the arm there if so, what I'm trying to do is make you realize, after the Initial purchase cost, the other parts needed can add up quickly, Do as my good friend kevins suggested, go and lay eye's on this drum kit before you put down your hard earned money or get a ton of pics of the entire kit and detailed pics of each drum at all angles and side of them!! the pic I'm showing you of mine it was all complete and only needed a good detailing!

Sorry, no not really I don't track it very much, But I wouldn't

sell it for less than $1200.00 probably in this market wouldn't get that, but I'll keep this one until I'm dirt napping! it is in very good condition!
