I have a restored 2.5 octave set of Jenco Vibes, circa 1950. The motor works and the instrument looks good. This is what was considered a student model and would be great for a student. There are about 8-9 bars that are slightly sharp (6-10 cents) and one that needs to be replaced ( 16 cents flat). Still, it does not sound bad. What I did: repainted the frame, cleaned up all the chrome in the frame, replaced the damper felt, replaced all grommet felts, replaced the cord that holds the bars, cleaned all the bars, replaced the belt and the power cord.
I am not sure about shipping costs, (probably around $150), so pick up is best. I am in Georgia. I will ship, if you want to pay.
I am attaching a link to the instrument being played[ame="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4485661/00%20jenco%20vibes%204%20sale/sound%20of%20jenco.mp4"]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4485661/00%20jenco%20vibes%204%20sale/sound%20of%20jenco.mp4[/ame]
I listed these at $800 but will consider any reasonable offer.
