Vintage help on Zildjian K Cymbal set

Hello All, here is my matched set of Zildjian K cymbals that I've had for 20+ years. They came with my first pro drum kit. I purchased the set and cymbals from an employee at Zildjian factory in Norwell, MA. He had them polished at the factory. They are in good to great shape. I'm looking to identify the vintage and value of this set. They do not have serial numbers engraved in them, so i believe they are an older model. Here's the dimensions: 14" K Hi-Hats, 17" K Crash, 18" K Crash, 22" KRide, 18" Flat Top K Ride. Also pictured is my 24" Zildjian Med Ride. Any thoughts on this cymbal would be appreciated. A.J.- At 20 plus years old that would put them about 1993, if there is any years owned before that it would make a difference. That being said, if they originally had a K painted stamp on the bottoms, that would mean they are a bit older that '93, if that were the case, they could be what is now being called E.A.K. or Early American K. They were only made for a brief time in the 1980's. Judging from your pictures, they might just be. Hammering of the cymbals is a big giveaway with the EAK's, as was the Large K on the bottom in paint. If none have serial numbers, they are pre 2001. With all that being said, lack of the painted logos makes them a bit tougher to nail down, as the metal stamps were all similar to my knowledge. Check eBay for completed listings of Zildjian K or EAK to give you an idea on what they are worth.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Thank you for the input. FYI As it turns out and after consulting with my investors (aka: Parents!) I bought this set in 1989. This would lead me to believe that these cymbals are early to mid '80's vintage. I suppose they could be older but this is the most probable answer. Thanks for all the help so far. Still looking for advice. Also, I am considering any reasonable offers for the set. I need to thin the heard. AJ.
