Vintage guitars have problems to!

Just my :2Cents: but it is MUCH easier for daddy warbucks CEO of some company collector to hang the prized guitars from his favorite bands' lead G-men on his wall than to display the drums those same band's drummers' used........

My point? The mere size and displayability (not sure if that is a real word or not) of guitars probably makes them more collectable to those who are willing to pay big money for musical instruments.

I have no proof, experience or otherwise but it kind of makes sense to me.

I can understand why you would think this, but NO!! There are 5 times more guitar players than drummers, "supply and demand" are the reasons for the price difference's of drums and guitars,look how many drum manufacturers there are compared to guitar manufacturers, once again there are 10 times more guitar companies than drum companies.
