So I'm a huge fan of the Camco>Gretsch>DW 5000 pedal and collect and rebuild them.
I came across this one and it's such a clean and well built pedal and it's similar to the Floating Action. It looks like it's the 4956 Professional Drum Pedal but I cannot find much history if any about it. Every vintage nut knows about the Floating Action but the Professional Pedal, doesn't seem as well known.

Rogers Swivomatic pedals are my all-time favorites. The Gretsch Floating Action pedal is one of my other favorite pedals. It is, indeed, simple and elegant...and, it is super dependable.
It's the Gretsch badged version of the Camco Standard pedal. The better of the two had the cam. The Standard had the cheesy eye bolt arrangement just like this one.
Page 22 on this pedal shows the Standard pedal.

I agree with Thin Shell! Camco probably made both Gretsch pedals. The underside is Identical too.
Thank you very much for posting that catalog. I don't know what year that particular catalog came out. but, it might be the same one from which I selected the components for my Blue Sparkle six piece set of Aristocrats configured as 14x22, 16x16, 14x14, two 9x13, matching 5x14 snare. I lived in Hammond, Indiana which is a southern suburb of Chicago. Oaklawn is another southern suburb. The Camco factory was on 95th Street. I lived at 169th Street. That's seven and a half miles South of the Camco factory and about the same number of miles east of it. So, my Camco set was being built to order about 15 miles from my house. That beautiful drum set saw a lot of one-nighter gigs, Here are photos of our band opening up for The Animals and The Turtles in 1966 (white outfits) and opening for The Association in 1967. I just Googled for some details. My house was exactly 21.5 miles from the Camco factory.
Far out, man!! (I am just old enough to have said that in the late 60's).

The Gretsch Floating Action pedal that I have was found in a bin of miscellaneous items that a MARS store in Dallas was trying to get rid of before they went out of business. I know that the pedal didn't cost me more than $25. Somehow, the price of $15 keeps popping into my head. The pedal is in top working condition.
