Hey Guys! I'm trying to find any info on a set of Gretsch Blackhawk electronic hexagon shaped drums with original cables, heavy duty stands and control mixer. I want to sell them since I'm not a drummer but I have not been able to find out any information about them. Any help out there?
vintage Gretsch Blackhawk electronic drums
I would like to see pics of that one. Thanks.
I have some pics to post as soon as I figure it out, In the meantime I will send them to your email address if its ok.
Unless I miss my guess, those are Simmons drums with a Gretsch branding. Those pads and that brain are Simmons...I think. They look identical to my old Simmons kit (other than the color and the spurs and the mounts). If that's the case, research Simmons drums. That should get you what you need.
If I'm wrong...blame it on one of the other guys. One of them stole my laptop and typed this in and then returned it when I wasn't looking.
Works for me.
...posted these for you...

They are similar to Simmons, but are not actual Simmons. They were an imported knock-off, made by the same company that made them for Pearl I think. Might have even been Roland who made them for Gretsch. Not worth a whole lot, but they are an interesting piece of drum history.
This brain is not the same as the Simmons SDS-8 kit that I had, but it is close enough to be suspect. Other than that faceted back and such, the pads are very similar. There are not enough controls for it to be the same as Simmons, but dang close. I believe you may be correct, though. It does look like a knock-off.
I appreciate the info guys! They all work but the sweet spot is not real big, is that normal? Is $500-600 reasonable for everything?
No and no. Sweet spot should be the entire surface. That's too much money for that kit. imho.
