vintage drums with straight edges???

Loading...

I feel a little naive asking this but; should vintage drums that are in "great shape" have straight, even, bearing edges???

Was the craftsmanship back in the 50's/ 60's able to create clean, straight, even edges?

Please clue me in.

It is my understanding that they were every bit capable in the 50's and 60's to produce clean, strait, even edges.

If they do not have clean bearing edges, I would assume they spent some time of their existence without heads and or rims, or they were treated roughly.Hurting
