Vintage drum market
Any opinion,s as to the current vintage drum market in relation to this pandemic.
I'm still seeing high prices, but some sellers are coming down in price. Case in point...I just bought another vintage Slingerland kit on eBay! This kit had been listed since last September and the price has been coming down. The seller offered me a good price and I pulled the trigger!
What also seems to be happening is that many of us have a lot more time on our hands, so I'm guessing that these people have decided to keep busy by offering up many of their drum items to help with cash flow. Many are still priced too high, but others just need to sell and bring in some needed money.

I’m not seeing the cache of old drums like there was in the past
as to plague I don’t think it has anything to do with it
I think there’ out of inventory period
what I see out there are beat a up lot
late model drums kits , orphans not worth what they’re asking
Also the kits that are right are not moving must be too high or too common of color
They have been listed for Months A lot of Hollywood’s even playing with the 9x13 reversed it not right so the rare kits are gone ...
so it must be just not collectable enough
everything is in retrospect of what was is not any more !

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
