It looks as though he set the standard for true showmanship for at least four decades.I'm sure a lot of us were able or are still able to rock out while firmly seated on a throne,but ain't it just tough to grip our sticks anymore? Google Drum Centers drum off of Aric Improta. That kid bumped things up a level or three,and I'm certain he was shown this video just to get a few ideas.

That guy (Aric) is a better drummer than I ever was. But, to me, his shtick is obnoxious and tiresome to watch. I'm not refering to Freddy Crump. His antics are a master work of comedy and musicianship.

I can see that being the case - sort of a "will you please get on with it [playing the drums]..." kind of feeling.
I know I absolutely detest that guy with the exaggerated arm movements in the youtube clip "this drummer is at the wrong gig" - I won't link it cuz I hate it lol.
Sometimes it's just a matter of what kind of day you're having. I was in the mood to enjoy the clip in the OP I guess...:)
