Vintage Carlton Dallas Snare Drum

Loading...

Another great buy off ebay £90. I dont know alot about the carlton brand. The snare drum just looks like it left the factory. As a drum restorer to high standards i dont think i need touch this one. All the details etc etc look to be all original. Would love info and input on this one. I think i have found a soft spot recently for english snare drums. I should put them all up on a thread as a Made in England thread. These are customer pics i dont have it yet. Cant wait for a look inside.......sean

Tonight ive just bought this and the English Rogers snare drum on the other thread. When i get this snare drum i will have to play it but like all my drums they do go for sale. Once i get it you are the first to make me an offer. Looking at the brochure it looks to be in mint//top condition. It looks too good to be true. As i said wayne i will put you on top of the list. Do you know much about the carlton brand......sean

Very cool. I to have a soft spot for British drums, especially snares. I recently bought a 60's Olympic 1182, all original, for $15.00 CDN. Just needs a cleaning. I also have a nice near mint 63/64 John Grey Broadway...and today I scored a rare John Grey Broadway COB, magnet tested...even the hoops are COB, needs a good cleaning. That one cost me $60.00 CDN. I have a couple of Premier snares to. I have to check out your other thread.

Look on other threads at the ER Rogers snare drum plus the John Grey Autocrat snare which i need info on. Any info on any of these snare drums is a bonus.
