Dennis's drums were always very appealing to me. I played Camco in the mid 1960's--Blue Sparkle in picture from opening for Eric Burden and the Animals and the Turtles. I have also owned several different Satin Flame drum sets. My Slingerland Charcoal Satin Flame four-piece outfit was my gigging set for most of the late 1960's. Two of my four current drum sets are a five-piece 1968 Slingerland Lavender Satin Flame set and a four-piece White 3-D Moire set of Leedy re-wrapped orphans with an all-original Camco snare drum.

There is a recording studio owner in Tampa that heard my early (pre-'65)

Camcos on stage with an orchestra through his headphones and he came out on the stage at intermission to see what the hell was making that resonant sound. Now he is on the hunt for one for his studio.

I would have preferred Swivo tom mounts to the Camco mounts that came on the set when I got it in either 1964 or 1965.
